The folks at NFFTY are forward-thinkers who needed a marketing solution that worked and wouldn’t break the bank. We helped them reach their audience — a group that skews young and alternative — while utilizing resources in the most effective way possible.

We were the only marketing tool in NFFTY’s quiver. It was a bold move on their part, but we appreciate their trust and it paid off substantially.

Another flawless victory — and another perfect alliance.  We’re looking forward to upping the ante next year!

National Film Festival for Talented Youth – NFFTY – Makes an Important Choice

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

There are plenty of ways to get the word out about your event,

but the National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) chose just one this year — guerrilla marketing through posterGIANT.

In only three years, NFFTY has become the most influential film festival and support organization for filmmakers 22 and under.  This year’s festival — based in Seattle — will be screening a record-breaking 190 films from 33 states and 16 countries. “It’s going to be a fantastic festival for film lovers of any age,” says NFFTY founder Jesse Harris.

So why did NFFTY choose to put all its eggs in posterGIANT’s basket?

“We have a very youthful audience so alternative marketing like wildposting and such has worked well for us,” says Harris. “Guerrilla (marketing) is just different and fits with our audience and festival. We basically did no other paid advertising this year. We got a lot of people saying they saw the posters in streets and in retail, so I think it definitely works.”

posterGIANT is a proud sponsor of NFFTY, as well as the proud executor of its campaign — a customized combination of wildposting and a targeted retail campaign.

posterGIANT representing the Snowboarding scene: RIDE Shakedown comes to Snoqualmie. $35,000 in cash prizes to keep these dudes riding and promote the scene.

What makes the RIDE Shakedown such a hit and a cut above the rest is its unparalleled competition format.

The concept: a laidback, live-it-up event with minimal restrictions on the riders. Spectators are taken to the very heart of the action and treated to a thrill-a-minute show that’s eminently accessible.

At the RIDE Shakedown, riders, both male and female, are required to master two different disciplines: the Big Air and the rail jam featuring a rail with various surface textures to be revealed only on the first day of competition.

Competitors and fans alike look forward to the moment. While pros are the main attraction, amateurs are also in the game, as they valiantly battle it out in an attempt to make a name for themselves. Every winter, new talent is discovered!
