Doug Cox – Company President
Doug Cox started Poster Giant in 2000 — long before Seattle lifted its ban on street-level postering. It’s that kind of vision, along with a sense of perfection and work ethic honed by years of production and touring experience, that has made posterGIANT the go-to source for clients looking to get their name out at a grassroots level.
Clients as wide-ranging as the Seattle Sounders, Babeland, Seattle Art Museum, the City of Seattle and Live Nation — not to mention a hefty selection of venues, promoters, artists and special events — trust their marketing needs to Cox and his army. Never one to rest on his laurels, Cox is constantly expanding the scope and services he offers to his clients, growing the company from a local business to a national force to be reckoned with.
A detail-oriented perfectionist whose motto is “flawless victory,” we’re pretty sure he was a high-ranking general in another lifetime.

Derek LaVarnway – Campaign Manager
All the strategy in the world doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t get implemented properly and effectively. Derek LaVarnway is posterGIANT’s secret weapon — the guy who turns marketing visions into concrete reality by managing and overseeing the pG army.
LaVarnway has a wealth of experience that he brings to his position — he’s been a strategy consultant, done graphic design, was head of security at Dirty Doug’s Productions from 1990-2001 and was co-founder of the legendary Sac Underground magazine.
He brings the advertising, supervising, marketing and social skills — not to mention discipline and attention to detail — needed to manage campaigns and run the office as effectively and efficiently as possible. He also brings a positive mental attitude and a sense of pride and accomplishment that comes from being a member of a winning team.

Mary Beth Felker – Accounts Manager
Like all her posterGIANT compadres, Mary Beth Felker brings a vast rainbow of experience to her position. When she's not ably whipping pG's accounts into shape, Felker is busy spreading her magic as a vocal expert through her business, The Voice Project. In 2007, she was named as one of only 17 elite instructors in North America and Europe to TC Helicon's International Voice Council. She is known as a 'vocal wizard' for her expertise and uncanny ability to diagnose and make immediate improvements to a failing project or an ailing singer.
She's also a performer in her own right having returned to the stage in Fall '09 under the moniker Mother Felker.
Don't mistake her big smile and easygoing demeanor for weakness – she's as tenacious as a 'mother tiger' with a perfectionist's eye for detail as accutely tuned as her musical ears.

Barbara Mitchell – Copy Queen
Over the course of her career, Barbara Mitchell has worn so many hats she sometimes feels like a haberdasher. She got her start in the corporate world, working as an account executive at The Rowland Company, where she worked on campaigns for clients like Mercedes-Benz and the City of Los Angeles and turned dry or unwieldy ideas into colorful, compelling copy.
She’s spent the past two decades working in the music industry, as a label publicist (Slash, Triple X, World Domination), an indie publicity powerhouse (Death Cab For Cutie, Rickie Lee Jones), band manager (The Posies, Carrie Akre), label owner and, most recently, freelance writer (Oregonian, Portland Tribune, NPR’s “Song of the Day,” Blurt.)
She seems quiet (until you get a few cocktails into her) but that’s because the wheels are always spinning. She is well-versed in the art of cat-wrangling, and dreams in color.
