If you are new to posterGIANT or posterGIANT design, this section is for you!  If you are looking to have us do any sort of design work for your next project, the following documents and information will help to ensure that you have everything you need together ahead of time.  This will ensure that the design process is a smooth and efficient one.

Refer to this quick checklist whenever you contact us to produce a design for your project.  Having all or most of these items ready or available up front will make the design process for your next project a smooth one!

1. Adequate Time Frame  (Crucial!)
2. Images (300dpi minimum)
3. Pre-proofed text copy provided via Word, Notepad or equivalent
4. Fonts (if specifying something specific)
5. Direction

Before you schedule your project with us consider the amount of time you have until your project needs to be in finished form...be it posters that will be put up or a site that will be debuted for a special event.  Poster design should ideally be ordered at least a month in advance of an event (earlier is better).  Consider that it will take time to complete and approve your design as well as time to print or do other production.  The closer you are to your deadline when you place your order the more we'll have to rush...and it will cost you!  So always be sure to plan ahead!

If you are supplying images they CANNOT be taken from the internet.  Digital originals are best.   Images are best supplied at 300dpi.  Should we need to resample any of your images to fit your media choice additional charges may apply.  Please supply images in a zip file or sit file.  If your files are too large to email, you can contact us for FTP access or you can use a service such as www.yousendit.com/  We appreciate your not wanting to bog down our email system. 8-)=

When supplying copy for your project, please supply it in an attached document...do not supply it in the body of an email.  Word, Notepad or any equivalent is best.  Also specify direction in the document ie. what you want the poster to look like.  If you give us complete creative control please note that you will be given 3 concepts to choose from.  Should none of the concepts be to your liking you may be subject to additional fees...so a little direction is always good!

If you want a specific font/s used, specify the name.  We can download free fonts for use on your project, however if a font is not free you have the option of sending it to us or we can purchase it for you and add it to your invoice.

1. A 50% deposit is required prior to commencing a project (laser posters excluded)
2. Contract is required for (web design, logos & package design)
3. First, an ETA for the design portion of your project will be determined.
4. Upon receipt of requirements (see above) work will commence.
5. 3 concepts will be supplied to you for review
6. Upon your approval of a concept, refinements will be made based on your feedback
7. You are allowed up to 2 revisions based on your feedback.  Additional revisions/changes
   that are not related to mistakes on our part will be subject to our hourly design rate.
8. Final approval for print design projects is required prior to our sending to print.  Your approval constitutes a "sign-off" and we are relinquished of any errors from that point.  So be sure to proof your poster thoroughly.
