Throwback Thursday: Unconventional Marketing at SXSW Promotes Parking App

Guerrilla Marketing

Here’s a throwback to a clever campaign executed by ParkMe to promote their app at South By Southwest in 2012. The LA-based business used fake parking tickets & bright orange cardboard ‘boots’ on cars all over the festival to let people know about the app. A small startup at the time, they’ve since expanded to provide real-time parking data & pricing in ‘90,000 locations, 4,200 cities & 7 continents’ – or so they claim. We have yet to find any reliable parking options in Antarctica, but we’ll keep looking.
