San Francisco Symphony Teams up with PosterGIANT to Promote SoundBox Reopening

The Client: The San Francisco Symphony recently celebrated SoundBox reopening, and needed to advertise in a big way. SoundBox is a unique, experimental performance space located inside the Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, CA. Capable of accommodating a wide variety of acoustics, this venue is a great place to grab a cocktail and experience the art of new music.

The Campaign: To celebrate the reopening of this unique home to some of music’s finest up and comers, Soundbox wanted to make an impact with their marketing. Enter, posterGIANT. To help spread the word and reintroduce Soundbox to the San Francisco public, the PG team launched a two-week 30-location wildposting campaign throughout the city to spread awareness before Soundbox reopened its doors in December 2015.

The Results: The vibrant Soundbox posters were a hit and this campaign made an impact in San Francisco during its two-week duration. Driving viewers to the Soundbox website, and to purchase tickets, the campaign raised awareness for upcoming shows and led to a sell-out of the first return performance. This wildposting campaign not only rose awareness of the venue for its opening, but it also helped SoundBox attract a returning audience base for future events.
